Hobby show, Richmond NSW 2013

E-mail Print

Hawkesbury AAR.

A glorious day in Clarendon for yet another Hawkesbury Model and Hobby Show, and an excellent club turnout ensured that our presence there was noted by the many visitors who attended the event. As always, there was plenty of interest shown in our lager, and it was good too to speak with the WWI people who had established their exhibit nearby.

Welcomes to Paul and Jed (US), making their debut appearances for the club, with excellent impressions, and a wonderful opportunity too to meet Tania, wife of Mikhail and mother of Anastasia. Furthermore, Mark and Tristan made guest appearances, and we look forward to hearing more from them in the near future.

The success of this event was primarily due to the large turnout of members, and the significant amount of personal equipment on display. This included three zelt shelters, a US pup-tent, Cenda's Jeep and Mikhail's bicycle. Good to see people involved in card games too as this only added to the authenticity of what we had on offer. German's we need to learn Skat!

Six to seven hours is a big slice of your Saturday, and again, my congratulations to you all for a job well done. Thank you for the distances you travelled and for promoting Ausreeanct so professionally.

Next stop, Armidale.
